...Why did you need to write in green on the album art that it's kinda rare? You could've just written that in the description, or the title.

@blacksheeps209 I dislike it too. Ever been to a ska show? The fans skip in a circle during the whole concert. And there's way too many upstrokes lol

@canesrule96 definitely haha i forgot where i read it but davey said they hated the ska-punk scene in the bay haha

This is the closest AFI will ever get to ska lol, not bad though. I'm guessing the police cover was adam's idea

@almightyseancore I like the sound of it though, I think it wouldn't be as good in a pro studio, XD

@AFIownage If you haven't heard a band that sounds anything like them then you obviously dont listen to music. They still kick ass though

@Claytonian15 You can say the same thing about the older material, you can walk out of a record store with 50 other hardcore punk albums that sound nearly the same. I think Their stuff from Black Sails and Art of Drowning-era are the most distinct they have made, yet that sound is almost entirely borrowed from Glenn Danzig.

Well, I think they were called Anthems for In-subordinates back in the early 90's then Dave got more comfortable with the band, so they began calling themselves A Fire Inside when Shut Up and Open Your Eyes came out in 97'.

@MrMikespec but it does, lol.. his voice has matured over the years, but you definitely tell it's him here if you take into account his general sound at this earlier period in his AFI career... always breathtakingly Davey-like xD

@Claytonian15 maybe they are sellouts now. but they are still very underrated. and the only other people that like them are teeneyboppers and scene kids. if scene kids made them sell outs them i sorry that davey changed his look during the december underground album. thats when scene kids started liking them. and if it wasnt for mtv or guitar hero most people still wouldnt know about them.
