AFI never 'sucked' or 'went off the rails'. They just don't play music of your personal taste now. They have more influences than hardcore punk bands; Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Moz, The Cure, NIN... just to name a few. Don't like their newer music? Don't listen, and quit fucking bitching about it. After all, they aren't writing music for YOU. And if they did, that WOULD be selling out. Screw you haters.

This is the first time I've listened to anything by them prior to Art of Drowning. I've heard everything after that, love it all, and I've finally done like I've been planning, sat down to listen to everything before. I like what I've heard so far, halfway through this album, then I'll go even further back. :) (I really can't think of a single song by them that I dislike, really....)

nah they sold out hard and its so transparent. you call going from nitro records to changing to dreamworks records, and changing your whole style and music instantly just experimenting? no somethings up obviously... and its not just afi, other bands did it also.

Id love you to write about decomposing bodies and mutilation maybe then youd see how fucking hard it is to maintain craziness unless your just posing yourself into being loved not everyone can write like this you needs guts and a twisted mind and to maintain that I don't think you could last for a couple years writing like this
