@yugo91aesop I think your interpretation merely touches on one of the themes displayed. He includes homelessness in what ends up being a mosaic of degenerate America. Saying essentially that America at large is misled by belief. Hence the religious references throughout the song.

The thing I like about Aesop's music is that not only do his lyrics mean something personal to himself, an outside source can interpret the same exact lyrics and give it their own personal meaning. That in itself is crazy

He's hard to understand but if you look at the general theme of the song its about someone's life gradually deteriorating to the point of living out on the streets and becoming homeless. Listen to it again with this in mind and the metaphors begin to make more sense, at least for me.
