i heard this version first and loved it, but having heard the original-which has a definitively more hip hop character- I prefer it, feeling that this remix is just that: and electronic remix. Despite the exceeding overuse of this remix strategy (remix hip hop lyrics over electronic music) Zavala does an excellent job and makes it a different experience.

One of the beauties of Aesop is self-interpretation and the various routes one can take, however, rap genius is nice to hear a conglomerate of input and puts the puzzle pieces together nicely. To be completely honest, after reading lyrics from Aesop via rap genius I realize how off I am about some songs due to the fact that I can't relate to his references without some research. Mostly because I am too young or have a lack of cultural diversity. I also think its funny my comment was removed...?

I'm personally in love with racing stripes and zzz top, both of which speak to me a great deal (especially after going to rapgenius :S damn my lack of clairvoyant abilities for the meaning behind lyrics!). Cycles to gehenna and gopher guts are absolutely great songs, but we'll have to agree to disagree on fryerstarter :)

Well said, I find it hard to find any real faults with Skelethon. I'd say it's probably one of his best yet and I see him getting even better with the next album. This remix is just a different sound totally, but still not as good as the original.

If Aesop Rock Joined Darktime Sunshine, that would be the best trio since De la Soul, Slum VIllage, Dilated Peoples, etc.

Woah woah woahold on a minute here. Saying this beat is dope is one thing, but saying the album suffered from self-production is another. He did a great job and the beats sound "the same" because they were supposed to. That's the direction the album was taking. I hope to see new remixes too but dude, if you're gonna take a shot at Aesop, make it a legitimate one!

Wow, I totally disagree about your comment on skelethons beats sounding more or less the same. To each their own. I will say skelethon isn't my favorite ace album, but I really like cycles to gehenna, fryerstarter, and gopher guts.

This remix is the fucking bomb! The original fits in with the sound of the rest of the album and is amazing on its own. But this remix is so grimy and boom-bappy... I love it!
