they talk about this tour in their book, "walk this way", i think they went to the midwest twice after the first release, they were virtually unknown outside of boston and the record company wasn't promoting them at all, if i had a time machine this would have been when i would have wanted to see them, luckily "dream on" caught on in boston and created just enough interest to get them booked back into the studio.  they way they tell it, they were hanging by a string at this point.

Loved these guys back then and love em now.  Listen to shaky ground off the new album along with beautiful and another last goodbye.  Just incredible songs.  Tired of hearing how they aren't good now.  They play better now than they ever did in the 70's.  It was rare in the 70's that you got to see a really great Aerosmith show.  They were more than capable, but they really got more into partying than performing well for quite a few years.  Still my favorite band ever though.
