Hank Williams wrote this song in the late forties. I loved the songs he wrote, but I didn't like his singing them. As I wasn't a big Country fan at the time. This I think is the best version of this song. I know a lot will not agree with me.

Nice version of a great song, not to disagree with you but music is subjective, and I am a big Adam Wade fan, but I like Dean Martin's, Ricky Nelson's, and Johnny Tillotson's version all better than this one.15 years ago

Bless your heart. My parents used to play it on Sundays and sing it to each other, and it evokes some powerfully pleasant memories. I listen to the instrumental versions, and though they are also exquisite, I long to hear the particular tenderness of Wade's rendition. I do appreciate your kindness.15 years ago
