Halag- Queen wasn't known as a band, it was Freddie Mercury. We didn't buy the look, the stage show, we bought the records because of the sound. Marc sounds more like Freddie, not even close. He would have sold out everywhere! People wanted to see and hear Freddie's Queen and Marc is the guy. Adam is Adam Lambert sings Queen hits. It's a big difference. Vocal range has zero to do with it. Songs are sung the way they are composed. Lambert feels a need to show his range on every song. Paul Rodgers sold out with Queen for Gods sake.

Stephen, I want to hear the song I've been listening to for decades, not someone else's interpretation that sounds nothing like it. If you're a Lamb fan great, you didn't grow up with these songs as a major part of the soundtrack of your life.

Halag, no sour grapes regarding Queens second best choice of a lead singer. The whole thing started with my disdain for Lambert's covers with his butchery of Born to Be Wild. When I saw that Queen had hired him to sing lead I was aghast. He misses notes, over uses vibrato, looks and feels like he's not even with the band rather competing with it. On the other hand, heard Marc Martel when I was doing more research and am confounded how Queen went for a money play by appealing to teeny boppers rather than hiring a seasoned, Mercury sound alike, such as Martel. They still would have sold out every show but they would have sounded like Queen. They made money but they sold out...literally and figuratively.

If he didn't rely on his 'look how high I can go' gimmick, he'd be one of the best singers on the planet. He needs to reign it in 50% at least cos listening to him gets tiring then irritating after one song. Just do a few high notes and SING the rest
