Steve Miller was able to create something that could please everyone, when the majority of musicians couldn't even make a hit song. However, it was soo huge that Steve Miller probably lost his "rock fans" in the process. Steve Miller was part of CLASSIC ROCK music, and making a song like "Abracadabra" to please pop/new wave and disco fans turned off Steve's core fans. I think this song is Steve Miller's last hit.
