Artist Biography: Abhorrent Decimation are a Death Metal band from London, UK. Formed early 2013 by Ashley Scott (Ex-Fleshrot) & Dave McKinney. The pair made quick work of composing and recording the band's first release, INFECTED CELESTIAL UTOPIA. The material was soon picked up by Cold Birth Records for a deal which would see this debut effort released worldwide. June 2013 saw the return of seasoned drummer Matt Doubleday (Ex-Fleshrot) to the Death Metal scene, behind the kit as Abhorrent Decimation's full time drummer. Since i can't reply to him, i'll just have to use the dreadful "guy below this comment" thing. 6 string guitars have nothing to do with an extreme metal band's brutality, originality, or relevance in the current time period of the genre. The originators of Brutal death metal mainly all used six string guitars themselves. Tuning doesn't define brutality or heaviness, it's how tight the band is. For me, what makes Death metal "heavy" compared to black metal, is the entire band playing a certain rhythm in sync, when the drums and guitars match up rhythmically and create a big percussive sound at their core. Death metal bands can make standard tuning sound brutal as hell while djent bands continue to fumble the ball tuning forever lower and lower it seems.
