Tom Floor I agree. I think Jo Jo kind of called him (as great as he is) on the volume thing for a couple of reasons. One, probably because a lot of kids get seduced by the extravagance of Gospel chops drumming and forget about learning to play soft and then can't. I would of liked to of seen him play even softer, he didn't get that soft when he came down and didn't stay there long at all. At the end when he did a fill he started to get louder again. With all due respect, the dude is a bad ass.

My respect for Mayer just grows and grows. What other drummer would ask such musical questions? Instead of "Can you do this beat?" or "How fast can you double kick?" :P

Someone who don't know who is Jojo Mayers would probably don't pay attention to the interviewer.....but Im pretty sure that even for Aaron Spears, its really intimidating to be interview by Jojo Mayer who is one of the badass drummer in history
