Beautiful song, a real classic. Also check out I Will Arise by Teresa DIsken, a new singer-songwriter from Ireland living in London, on the Yeats2015 website/soundcloud/facebook. Lovely harmonies. Here's to a celebration of Irish singers.

Haven't listened to this for four months and yet AGAIN I'm transfixed by Eleanor's facial expressions in the section 1.45 - 2.12 (Restless eyes reveal my troubled soul >>> And while I know I'll survive alone ...). She's reliving it - oh yeah. And therefore ... so do we ... Also - that beautiful acoustic guitar picked counter melody from 2.53 to the end. Just breath taking ..... sooo delicate.

I am coming back to this song on guitar and it is so natural. One of my favorites.

I love the bit 'My restless eyes' Eleanor sings from 1.45 with such tortured passion ... and the bitterness and facial expressions with which she sings 'I mourne for my dreams - I mourne for wasted love' - at 1.58. It is so POWERFUL it just send shivers down you. Everytime she sings this (and this is ten years later) she still relives that pain of unrequited love. And we feel it too. The Power of an extraordinary song - and singer.

Mary actually seems to have tears in her eyes in this. And they are both so emotional. It's a SENSATIONAL performance. (one of the best of this song on YouTube). But what a pity they cut them off at the end though - typical disrespectful telly. Earingtastic as well !
