Another romantic, tearful song written by Eric Carmen. What a brilliant singer/songwriter. No I don't think one can say that he sounds like Barry Manilow. Mr. Carmen has a unique voice that is unmatched by anyone else.

Song writers in the 60s and 70s had so much better lyrics than the crap musicians put out today. I'm not some old boomer who grew up in that era either, I just know good from bad and the garbage that passes for music today doesn't even compare.

What a beautiful song. One I had never heard before. I wasn't looking for it - it just played automatically, following another of his numbers. I am pleased that my present situation is unlike that in the lyrics, but should I ever find myself there I'd like to remember these words. No, not like Barry to me either.
