Is it just me or is it extremely annoying when people always talk about "hip-hop is dead" like... okay...? Sorry, get over it and find the artists these days that make creative and new music. Open your minds people. You're being your parents whom you were frustrated with talking shit about your old school hip-hop. Everyone is so oblivious to the necessities of change these days.. I'd say thats whats most frustrating, not the fact that your favorite music is no longer the exact same.

This was the best hip-hop/rap ever. And what? No violence? No swearing? No hatred? I can be done... and with beauty, with grace, with style... Enough with accepting the Lowest Common Denominator. Is it racist to say that both blacks and whites can strive for the best? For something other than the Lowest Common Denominator?In the late 90s & early 2000s (my high school and college years) I loved Tribe Called Quest. But what have we got now? Who will take an example from the Masters? :-)

This reminds me of the times when I was in high school around the time this came out and especially on monday afternoons after school, I would try to get home as quickly as possible and catch the latest videos such as this classic. I know I wasn't the only one trying rush back to the crib and watch Video Soul, Rap City, or Yo MTV Raps. Miss those days!!!
