He was absolutely out of breath and that's not a knock on him. It's hot as hell on most stages under the lights and he's also playing guitar. He does not butcher the song, but he's certainly off key plenty of times throughout. He's clearly got some singing skills and he belts nicely, but singing delicate rock tunes live is not an arbitrary talent. It's hard. This is a hard song to cover, but taking critiques is part of the business and people have a point here.

Nah man this guy sounds like a great vocalist. Get your ass on stage and try pushing out any Maynard song in it's entirety. He didn't nail every note, sure..but still an excellent job IMO
