I've never took it the way you guys seem to. Yes she was "friend zoned" more so misunderstood) by the one she loved; however, she doesn't seem to be saying that this hurt her not because she's always been in pain. She's almost saying, in my opinion, that she cannot feel pain when she is in his arms. Clearly she WAS INDEED still in pain, but in his arms she was finally happy- finally seen. 9 years ago

I used to hate broadway, musical, whatever you call it, because it was lousy and more of like talking. then one day my roomate bought a dvd of this movie, and so we watched it.. This part here is so lonely.. It made me hurt.. I just hope this kind of music that touches hearts continue to exist forever.. :) I love Lea's voice better.. But Samantha's take on emotion is better in the movie.. Lea is too old for the role i guess .. But theyre great... Thanks9 years ago

To all you people talking about "friend-zoning" there is another term for it. It's better sounding and it seems more appropriate. This wasn't "friend-zoning", it was unrequited love. And yes I cry every time this song makes me feel things that are sad.9 years ago
