A ha's "ephemeral" music has been shown to survive the test of time. Take on me will always make me feel great when ever I hear it. Their second album Scoundrel Days had amazing adventurous songs on it. When they started again in the new century they did some even more amazing albums. These guys are and have always been amazingly talented individuals.

Whatta' dickbag interviewer. The interview is NOT about you, so stop trying to make it out to be. Also... cracks me up whenever journalists say, "... Norway's most valuable exports." I bet they get so sick of hearing that. :D

D Faerie, same here. I was only 1 year old when a-ha released take on me. I have been a fan of a-ha since I was 16.

A HA lasted 30 years; covered by many bands and genres...where is the interviewer now, I wonder ??

a-ha had the last laugh!. They had a long, successful career, and the interviewers tv career didn't last long!.

Spot on by Mags at the end there. A-ha are still respected & remembered while Paul Thompson's TV career died in the 80s.

there´s a kind of distance between the interviewer and the guys. a-ha wanted to be a serious band and not only the teenie idols which was a picture that was created by take on me... but take on me will always be a part of music history because of its postmodern approach, the connection between virtuality and reality. it´s not only a comic strip showing young men, it´s a kind of art.

Isn't the poster of the video the interviewer? Have a little respect.

This interview is unintentionally hilarious, cause clearly the interviewer hasnt got a clue and/or doesnt give a toss about the band etc...next to no research. What a joke and an insult, albeit their reactions are hilarious and still quite dignified.

I think that the main problem with a-ha decreasing in popularity after Take On Me was their looks/appearance. And by that I mean that they were always seen as a band of handsome boys/men and their music was not taken so much seriously as other rock bands with more trashy styled members, such as Guns'n Roses etc. I honestly think that the lyrics and music of most of their songs are very deep, but kids were totally in love with the way Morten looked and they took over the audience, the teeny-bop.

"The audience was largely screaming kids." You sod, I sincerely resent that and I bet the boys do too.

The guys are right, it's definitely a multi-genre band that people come back to years later, I'm an example of that, lol They came out when I was born, now Iam back as a fan... God i love Morten, even at his age now- wow is he amazing! Take on me (original version) is my fave clip & song of all time :0)

i found out this bitchs name is Paul Thompson, and i saw him interviewing vince clark, but surprisingly he is being respectfull, could you believe this, vince clark made commercial and silly music and depeche mode evolved better without him, this guy had no ear at all!!!! Vince Clarke Interview about Depeche Mode, Yazoo, The Assembly and Erasure on Night Network
