@tahoevic Obviously, you've never seen them in concert? Agree, that this type of album would be very hard to reproduce live, but U2 has no problem performing live the majority of their catalog. An artist who doesn't experiment stagnates. Radiohead obviously listened, you could too.

@HeatGuyJB I will agree with you in that this is a very underrated album and it certainly deserves a listen. I personally love this song. However don't ever say to put down The Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby. I believe Achtung Baby is the greatest album ever made by any band ever. And The Joshua Tree is in the Top 10.

1bluesshifted, ENO didn't make it as an "artist", he took another path, He has done more harm to u2, by making thier music UN-REPRODUCEABLE IN CONCERT! Fucking Period!They suck in concert, they are the Abby Road recordings, I like the music, will buy it ,but I wouldn't pay ten cents to see them live. It is there own fucking fault OVER PRODUCED! MUSIC. After the last Album they should hang it up! Sorry mates the last album was SHIT

Yes but Eno is a blessing and a curse, his sounds donot make it to the stage, and in the words of all U2 Members,,,, we are a live band First.!!! Eno is George Maritns' role in the Beatle toU2. That is why the Beatles went Studio. It is all good. But how many guitars can Edge play? How would the Beatles ever Perform SGRT PEPRS Live, so we take the good with the bad. Wire by u2 a live disaster! Sort of home comming Live Yuck. Unforgetable fire live PEE U Sorry Exit so so.

It's U2 with Brian Eno acting as a band member. Island Records thought the album was too experimental to be an U2 album, that people wouldn't accept it and feared it would damage U2's reputation, so they called the "band" Passengers instead.
