Yes they said they will stay in this direction in the future and make more collaborations with a lot of new artists too. I am not sure what to feel about it but I believe in Tegan and Sara and their songs. :)

Absolutely t_ally_s. I adore them. I love their sound in general. From The Con to Sainthood to Closer. They're brilliant. Who cares if they went Pop for this album. Either you love them or you don't. I'm a proud card carrying member of the T&S freakin awesome club lol.

I agree with just about everything you just said. Do you think that they'll stay in this direction when making future albums, though? Or did they get it out of their system? That's the question that haunts me.

Just because this album has more of a "pop" sound, it doesn't mean it has any less substance. They poured their hearts into this just like every other album. How someone could listen to Tegan singing "I Couldn't Be Your Friend" or Sara sing "I'm All Messed Up" and not think those songs mean something to them is beyond me. Bands move in different directions all the time and they're no longer in their angsty years lol. I'm so happy they keep reinventing themselves and have so much love for them :)

I honestly saw an album like this coming for a long time... Sara's been saying for years she wanted to move in this direction. I have mixed feelings about the album, but mostly I really like it. I just feel like they would never produce something that felt ingenuine, or that they felt didn't reflect who they really are. If they believe in the album, I want to, to. I don't connect to it like I do their earlier albums, for sure. But I'm sure it was fun to make. They seem proud, so I'm happy.
