@godsdreadful My wife and I went to Warehouse before we were married. We got to be there when the 77s got started. We were married there and Mark played the piano for us. That was 30 years ago this year.

I love the 77's. Always have. Their songs, as well as their message has always been about Jesus, but they hate the hypocrisy in the church. Like most of us. Great group of guys!

I went to the church where they started. In fact, one of them played the piano at our wedding. They originally started out as a Christian New Wave group because New Wave was becoming popular at the time. If memory serves, they set out to counter the negative influence of popular music. I remember "A Different Kind Of Light" playing on MTV. It's good to see them still going.

I can certainly tell that this album was Christian with a clear gospel message. But i was wondering, do the 77's consider themselves to be a gospel group? Truthfully, in allot of their other works, it could go either way. Not judging, just asking.
