I love Tom Waits, but I was a bit surprised by how much of his musical style is taken from this one Howling Wolf song

@gorefinger Be sure to RE-read my previous deconstruction of your naive blabbery and mis-use of Logic IA. Add now: YOU = strident asshat, pretentious pseudo-intellectual, unable to tell your "tells" (grandiose, thus empty, words being some). Your stalker's boner to change MY opinion is rude, stupid & wrong. You have a hard time believing anything that's so real as what I said, as it's just beyond your senses of truth. I'm not interested in your yammerings. Be kind to urself now and piss off.

@gorefinger logic? only maintains but never attains a truth. And YOUR reified, limited, emotionally blindfolded, tunnel-visioned linear view of a "history" is a self-scamming tell of your game, making wrongful judgments appear to be facts, by blabbering forth a contrived social reality that serves nothing except to pretend as its ACTUAL goal your denial of being the very nausea you imagine see coming from outside yourself. That's all the mentoring you get for free sonny

his entire schtick (and schtick it is) is based on derivative "imitations" of how he can "do" *part* of Wolf's voice, same as Wolfman Jack. Wolf and I discussed all this at length on tape. There are many who try it. Some, notably Led 'Thieving Magpies' Zep, and many more, just ripped off songs by Wolf & Dixon songs, countless others. Few originators could litigate. Arthur Crudup never got ONE royalty. Wolf sued LZ, then had to sue his own publishers to get his share. ? = is cover credited?

@brewereric Oh, I hope you didn't take it as some kind of attack! =) It was just a friendly 'jab'.

@brewereric Tom has often covered Chester Burnett - Its a pretty well known song. Tom wouldn't claim the work of other people as his own =) After 35 years, you should know this! :D

Nice. For anyone who cares, it's "Whose been talkin'" a Howlin Wolf classic.
