Beautifully done. Just too bad this rendition, like most, has the GRAMMAR wrong. It is "God rest YOU merry". Rephrasing to clarify, you could say "May God cause you to rest merry". "God" is the subject, "you" is the object of the verbal expression. "Ye", of course, is an older SUBJECT form (as in the King James Bible), and so out of place here. I think the desire to sound more archaic is what has led to this mistake.
