This was a great formula! Van Zant doing mostly rocker vocals, Barnes doing the pop-rock vocals. Unfortunately (for my taste) they started leaning too far to the pop-rock side and Van Zant's growl became less and less a part of that formula. When they released 'Strength in Numbers' they had essentially cut DVZ out of the mix altogether. DVZ was still a great showman, but their albums started leaning too much to the pop side for my liking.9 years ago
