I just looooove how this sounds straight outta the 90's \m/ hell yeah. Now this is a band that knows how to stick to its true roots, but still progress through their career.

New 311 album already in the works! Shorter summer tour this year so they can go to studio and record it.

Fucking LOVE these guys. Still no one out there even close. Their melodies are so strong. Excellent harmonies. SA sounds better than ever and Nick still has his velvet voice as cool as the other side of the pillow. Chad owns the drums with P-nut rounding out that bottom end like only he can. Tim still plays lights out. Just love them. Evolving as a band but still staying true to the sound that made them who they are. If you haven't seen them live, go check it out. It is one seriously badass experience. Took my kids (17 and 15) to see them this past summer. No one in the venue ever sat in their seats. Dancing and grooving all night long. Yeah!!

Easily my favorite song by these guys, and probably my favorite song ever. I find the lyrics extremely relateable and I can never get tired of this song

I love how SA's vocals have evolved and matured, but I also love how he sounded back in the day. 311 has always been an incredible band.

Look bands evolve...its just the way it goes. No band always sounds the same. As a musician you are always looking for new sounds that will influence how you write. So goes for 311...I think this is awesome. They have grown as musicians and have a become a tight band. If you don't like it don't listen to it.

No matter what I try there’s no room in my mindNo way to go round that, that’s just the way it is must I remindI don’t pick up the phone but you still try to callThere’s nothing left to say you’ve already gotta know we’ve said it allThe story never ends, in search of somethingBut once we arrive it all starts againReaching for higher ground, the river’s risingIt keeps on flowing forever no matter what we have foundSometimes it seems insaneTo just keep pressing onAs if it will put out the flameBut still the thirst remainsDrink another drinkAnd somehow I still feel the sameStep off, head out, take flight, and just runGot five of everything but I just need oneMy brain telling me what I want, I needGot five of everything but I still proceedHelp me fill up this holeIt’s gaping and out of controlIt feels like I’m losing touch and it’s taking its tollWhen this wall isn’t movingState of things not improvingAnd no satisfaction in the distraction of the daySometimes it seems insaneTo just keep pressing onAs if it will put out the flameBut still the thirst remainsDrink another drinkAnd somehow I still feel the sameStep off, head out, take flight, and just runGot five of everything but I just need oneMy brain telling me what I want, I needGot five of everything but I still proceedLiving in this culture can be a dragIt’s just a commercial what we haveA one track mind we grab, grab, grabWe’re past being crazy, call us madGone is the golden egg and the gooseAnd the bullshit of all hell breaking looseWe gotta hit the boostSip on the thick juiceDisregard the bad cardsAnd wake the truthStep off, head out, take flight, and just runGot five of everything but I just need oneMy brain telling me what I want, I needGot five of everything but I still proceedThe story never ends, in search of somethingBut once we arrive it all starts againReaching for higher ground, the river’s risingIt keeps on flowing forever

This song pisses me off when I try to sing along... Nick's harmonization when SA has the melody is so freaking hard to pick out when singing along XD

I have loved every album put out by 311. 60% of the tracks immediately, yet after listening over and over i find the rest are acquired taste. Some tracks i fall in love with years later.... my point is i love every song ever... b-sides, soundtracks, and covers alike. 311 has been a positive influence and a source of inspiration for me sense mid 90's and like most fans i found music, grassroots, and Omaha sessions only made it more real. Say what you want about the newer stuff but i end up nodding my head to all of it... Thank you so much 311 for giving us fans a constant supply of amazing positive music. In a sea of hate and sadness you are the shining light.

Fantastic song - been a fan since blue album, seen them in concert 4 times, this is my favourite song (this week :)) - what more could you want? FYI I love the old stuff, love Uplifter and Evolver, didn't really get into Universal Pulse or Don't Tread on Me (to the level I wished). I've started digging on Sand Dollars, check it out if you like this song.
