I've always wondered what this type of Indian singing is called. SOMEONE give me the name for it.

Frontman Jared Leto wrote this mainly instrumental march in India. It was inspired by a funeral pyre in Varanasi, a city on the banks of the Ganges where they have been cremating bodies on the river for about 5,000 years. He told Purevolume: "It's an incredibly intense place. There were bodies being burned everywhere, bodies going through a funeral procession and being left in the river Ganges. So although it's about death, there's something beautiful about it as well, and something that makes you think about life itself and how magical life can be."

I love how this was recorded, or part of it was, on a random cliff in India, because Mars just decided that's where they decided to record it!!

Love this piece of music. Disappointed to find out it wasn't Jared on vocals...I think he could've pulled it off with his amazing voice. In my opinion, 30stm best album yet!

This song is truly a perfect piece of LLF+D. I don't know what was happening in Jared's head while he was writing this, but for me this song it's like a mystery. Thumbs up for this song.
