You can add Black Merda (arguably the first all-black rock band), W.I.T.C.H. (70s afro-rock band from Zambia), Death (first all-black punk band; pre-dated Bad Brains by about six years), National Wake (notable South African punk band in which two of its original members were black), and Sound Barrier (first all-black metal band, I think), to that list. I'm with ya, buddy. Time for these people to start discovering the truth for themselves when it comes to black people in rock music. ;-)

RIGHT ON! Glad you mentioned "Sometimes". That was/is one of my favorite tracks off the 'Definition Of A Band' album. Drummer Chris "Daddy" Dave makes his debut on that track, too! Just wish the Mint fellas would do more rock-oriented stuff because they are a truly versatile band.

Well actualy if you also take into account asiatic or latin guys, rock bands are less and less only white guys stuff, which is for sure a damn good thing. And if I had to choose the greatest rock/metal black guys band: Body MF Count!!!

Metal/rock/punk bands with black musicians: God Forbid, Suffocation, Animals as Leaders, Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Brains, Killswitch Engage, Hirax the list goes on. Theres a lot of music out there that defies mainstream convention people just have to search more (and stop listening to the radio or its suggestions of music).
