BLAST ZONE 2015

he does seem to have tuning trouble with that white chervil in every recent video I have seen lately…he should get one of those Dean Michael Schenker models, they seem really stable when Michael plays them, and Schenker's tone is da shit!sometimes ya gotta ditch those old axes and get a new one- really.

I've always wondered what happened to Jake over the years, and this isn't the greatest show ever... but I'm still a fan playing Bark At The Moon on my guitar, and here I can see he's still got it. Good to see.

Jake rocks IMHO...even over Randy (I know that is forbidden to say, but I said it). The problem is this singer blows, and Jake belongs back with Ozzy (dump the fuck he has now and bring Jake back in)...just my opinion.

Loved the improv.Obviously some of the previous comments, came from people who either aren't players, or haven't played live. This was a one angle, non mixed vid. And guitars do go out of tune mid song, especially when getting thrashed and pushed. Jake makes it sound like he has a whammy bar at times.

I have always respected Jake E Lee, First for what he had to do after Randy's untimely death just to fill those shoes would be incredibly difficult. I thought though he sounded different he did all the Randy songs well. The Bark at the Moon wasn't my favorite album but I went to see Jake play live, I was impressed by Jake and continued to follow him into Badlands and so on. Now I have Always thought one of the greatest sound/tone was Eddie Van Halen and that Marshall of his. The 100 watt Plexi. I have seen Eddie 2 times since his is using his new amp and it was Awful!!!!! Horrible sounding show guitar was hard to hear the notes mushed together zero clarity and the same here. A horrible guitar sound very disappointed watching this. My advice Jake. Find a new amplifier cause this is crap !!!!!!!

I was there that night and saw the show in person... it was pretty bad. But he had only played one show with the new band at this point, and he hadn't performed in years. They billed this gig as "THE RETURN OF THE LEGENDARY JAKE E. LEE." He was incredibly nervous and spent most of the show pacing, tuning and smoking. I met him the next morning and had a conversation with him... the signature Charvel that they provided him wouldn't stay in tune for shit. He finally threw it on the ground offstage at the end of the show. And I'm sorry, but I've owned an EVH amp... this sounds pretty much like mine did. Not great at all.I've seen other videos since where he kicked ass. Don't judge him by this show.I felt bad because I slammed him on facebook the night before, but the next day when I met him, he's still a rock legend. And super humble. And I get the feeling he was really disappointed in himself. Wanted to do well. At the end of the day I hugged him and told him we missed him, and I was glad he was back.

Okay, so I never much followed Jake E Lee but i know this.. Shortly after Randy died Ozzy jumped back out on the road. I went to one of the first shows at a small old dump of a gym on the U of Maryland campus called Ritchie Coliseum. I was a huge Rhoads fan, had no idea who the guitarist was going to be and had very low expectations. It was a bit chaotic but the show rocked and Jake E really impressed me, especially given the circumstances. I clicked on this expecting to be wowed and I was, but for all the wrong reasons.Saying this is rough would be an understatement. It was horrific on every front. Those of you saying it is great are tone deaf or fans in denial. The cell camera certainly doesn't help but it is also not hiding the obvious, this sucks! I saw him on That Metal Show and wasn't impressed either. Sometimes it better to stay in hibernation and just let people have their memories.

not sure what everyone is griping about... it's a live concert with some improvisation... he didn't screw up or anything
