Aba Daba Honeymoon (Fields-Donovan) by Debbie Reynolds and Carleton Carpenter, accompanied by Georgie Stoll and the M-G-M Studio Orchestra and Chorus (CD audio source)
Debbie's fourth feature film appearance was in MGM's late 1950 musical "Two Weeks With Love." Though Jane Powell and Ricardo Montalban were top-billed--and a number of old-timey tunes were performed--it's the exuberant Reynolds-Carpenter rendering of this 1914 hit that is best-remembered from the score. The MGM single (edited from the longer soundtrack version) gave Debbie a great career boost, reaching #3 on the national sales chart. The Richard Hayes-Kitty Kallen recording of "Aba Daba" is also included in the 1951 collection.
