Thinking Of You (Kalmar-Ruby) by Eddie Fisher, orchestra & chorus conducted by Hugo Winterhalter (CD audio source)

"Three Little Words," MGM's big-screen 1950 biopic of songwriters Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby, successfully revived two of their best-known ballads: "Nevertheless (I'm In Love With You)" from 1931 and "Thinking Of You" from 1928. The latter tune turned out to be the debut solo hit for both Eddie Fisher and Don Cherry. And this first successful Fisher track also shows off the distinctive orchestral sound of arranger-conductor Hugo Winterhalter, who would accompany Eddie throughout his years with RCA Victor.
