Billboard-charted track, not elsewhere on YouTube as of this posting. The huge 1946 UK song hit finally worked its way across the Atlantic and became one of 1949's top songs in the U.S. Coming off its most popular American hit of "Underneath The Arches," the Scala band's "Cruising" managed only a fair showing against some fierce competition.

Transferred and digitally processed from the original 78rpm: London 356 - Cruising Down The River (Beadell-Tollerton) by Primo Scala and his Banjo And Accordion Orchestra, vocal by The Keynotes.

Harry Bigwood (Primo Scala in this recording) was a crafty chap. He headed up more than one band at the same time, under different names, one of which made recordings exclusivley for Woolworth's and sold for sixpence.
