I'm waiting on a manicure and enjoying the usual jazz music playing then this comes on. It has to be the oddest song selection I've ever heard at a spa.

Ghost Riders In the Sky / Vaughn MonroeAn old cowpoke went riding out one dark and windy dayUpon a ridge he rested as he went along his wayWhen all at once a mighty herd of red-eyed cows he sawA'plowin' through the ragged skies and up a cloudy drawYi-pi-yi-ay, Yi-pi-yi-oGhost riders in the skyTheir brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steelTheir horns wuz black and shiny and their hot breaths he could feelA bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the skyFor he saw the riders comin' hard and he heard their mournful cryYi-pi-yi-ay, Yi-pi-yi-oGhost riders in the skyTheir faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, and shirts all soaked with sweatThey're ridin' hard to catch that herd but they ain't caught them yetThey've got to ride forever in that range up in the skyOn horses snortin' fire, as they ride on, hear their cryYi-pi-yi-ay, Yi-pi-yi-oGhost riders in the skyAs the riders loped on by him, he heard one call his name"If you want to save your soul from hell a' ridin' on our range""Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride""A-tryin' to catch the Devil's herd across these endless skies."Yi-pi-yi-ay, Yi-pi-yi-oGhost riders in the skyGhost riders in the sky

Fascinating listen, starting to understand a great deal about Spaghetti Western soundtracks listening to this.

Thanks for this version! I haven't heard it in many years - every since a rather eccentric DJ in northern MN retired about 35 years ago. This is still my favorite recording of this song of the dozens that are available.
