Pop Memories-charted track, not elsewhere on YouTube as of this posting, that is swimming in a symphonic sea of strings. The Johnny Green-Edward Heyman standard "Out Of Nowhere" was confusingly retitled on the record label as "You Came Along," which was a tie-in to the like-named current wartime movie starring Bob Cummings and Lizabeth Scott, in which Helen Forrest performed the song.

Transferred from the original 78rpm: Victor 20-1722 - You Came Along (From Out Of Nowhere) (Heyman-Green) by Tommy Dorsey & his Orchestra, vocal by Stuart Foster, recorded April 14, 1945

Voting for this rendition as my favorite of this song. Four Freshmen had a nice rendition but then a little bit into it, they sorta kinda lost track of the melody. This one stays with the song the way it's written and that's always my favorite rendition of any song.

Wow! Most strings ever on a TD side? Wonder who did this very confident arrangement? I think this is the string section that TD told arranger Nelson Riddle was a "tax dodge". Ha!
