I used to run away from anyone in an uniform, but now instead doing that I feel admiration.. their valor, their honour, their courage. You are right. This song is not about death. It is about anyone that has been in a small team of brothers that deal with life threatening situations. Those are brothers through thick and thin. I have lived through it and miss it to this very day. (Not in a war zone but within fucking tough drug squad operations) I will never have the same brotherhood as I did in those days.
