Im tired of these beef ish. First off, lets get one thing straight, music died with 2pac, Biggie, Aaliyah, Left Eye, MJ, and the countless others. They were the BEST at their genres. KIM was the queen of her time and will always be the queen of Brooklyn. Nicki could NEVER take that from her. Their genres arent really the same anyways. Kim was ALWAYS more hardcore than nicki , who is more playful and pop-oriented. Hands down, nicki copped kim's style but nicki incorporated her own style into it as well. Nicki is the best at what she does, she broke away from that barbie ish years ago. She has a uniqueness to her, but again the facts dont lie. Nicki copped kim's style a little.Me personally, I'd say the real ignored great female MC is Lisa Lopes, Eve and Missy. They didnt need all the sex appeal like trina, foxy, nicki, and kim. You barely ever heard them allude to sex in their lyrics. Their lyrics had positive deeper meanings as well. Left eye with the war on HIV, eve with war on domestic violence, and missy was a little more personal with her tributes to Aaliyah. Lef eye and Eve are the best because they had the personal artistic freedom while still implementing the struggles of other women and men as well. Now dont get me wrong, everyone loves a party song (which missy, left eye, and eve all had as well) but to crown an mc as the best female mc altogether based on numbers is actually very retarded. Especially with this generation who pay hundreds of dollars to hear about sex, drugs, and money. Nicki is the best party mc, I'll give her that cuz her music are some club bangers forreal. However, based off lyrical content, kim nor nicki takes this one. It would go to Eve or Left Eye. Either way it goes, lets embrace all the female mc's cuz there's not many of them in this male dominated genre. Why kill 4 or 5 to keep 2 or 3? thats foolish. If anything, get rid of these lyrical-idiot rappers like soulja boy. I respect his songs for their trends, but not for hiphop. I love soulja boy's songs cuz it was hot when I was comin up, but it aint hip hop AT ALL. I think these fools need to study the roots and history of hiphop so they can understand, perfect, and respect the craft. Im so dissapointed in this age of music. Wayne aint holding the torch for hiphop, he's holding the torch for rap and popular music. I'd say Kendrick is the closest thing to hiphop at this point. Drake is an R&B artist...lmao. If the REAL lyrical artists that were Biggie an 2pac came back today, they would grab a belt and beat all of our asses. Jay Z smart, cuz instead contributing to the fall of hiphop he decided to make it his bitch and profit from it. You cant be mad at it, you can only respect it. Same to Diddy as well (but he contibuted to the fall as well). And honestly, no one can be upset with Kanye...this man was real with us from the beginning..we didnt wanna listen. High School Dropout was a real ass album. He crazy as hell probably cuz he feel how I feel, his childhood inspiration is sinking. Hiphop is dead.
