Even at 10 years old, Billy was just sooo coooooollll ! ! And so was Nat"King"Cole. Damn ! ! That was talent back then. Not like this Lady GaGa CRAP there is today. I'm fairly young, (early 50's). And listen to mostly "new" stuff. I'm a bit of a Metal Head \m/, August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage, Breaking Benjamin. But I like classic rock also. My point is, the music of the 40's,50's,60's,and even early 70's, you had to have real talent to make it in the "Biz".They didn't have all that extemporaneous crap that so many "artist's" today rely on. You had to be able to really "sing", there were no vocal effects to help them "cheat". If you played an instrument, you'd damn-well better be able to play it better than most, or you ain't gotta shot. Everything "New" came from something "old". The best artist's today "stole" from their predecessors. That's how we grow as musicians. I definitely stole from my favorite drummers back in the day. That's how I learned. Everyone should give it a chance.......you might like it !

There is a little bit of Billy in much of the Beatles work. They were first involved in "Cavern Club" live music scene way back at the start in 1962, in Germany, but here is Billy, 1957 already rocking on TV with one of the biggest singers of the time.

Nat "King" Cole knew talent, tried to nurture it, but did not live to see it blossom.
