I heard "I kiss the flower in bloom" when it came out in the states in 1987 and that made me notice this band.

Really? Tell him to listen to Dynamo Stairs 'Calendars And Colanders'. His drumming inspired me! Awesome band he was in!

Takes me back to the heady days of Peter Easton's 'Beat Patrol'/'Rock on Scotland' on Radio Scotland. Every programme an absolute gem.

Takes me back, sigh.... I'm going to follow this up with the Railway Children's 'Brighter'... classic tune

Me too...it's nice to have this sort of thing preserved on YouTube and in blogs like Willfully Obscure, Jangle Pop Boutique, and The Doledrums (all blogspot)

Maybe I've just become too old/complacent/cynical :-) I know there's good stuff out there (now's as good a time for music as any other), but when I hear songs like this I sometimes wish it was then again. A good melody, a jangly guitar, genuine musicians...what more d'ya need.
