First of all....epic beard brother, never seen that before. Second, usually I prefer the acoustic version of songs but I guess that the live, full band version rocks so hard that I dig it more.

Sir, you have a right to your opinion and having a different music taste. You have a right to express such an opinion. But on youtube why do people always have to go to a video just to start arguments in the comments? I don't go to JB videos and make fun of him and his fans. Also, you say you are a musician. Even if you don't like their music and think they overuse something, you should respect them. Do you know their history? How far they have come? Why they do what they do?

you do have a point but you are overexaggerating way to much. Sure, some of their songs sound similar. Awake and Rise are albums that sounds alot alike technically speaking but you are still wrong. Skillet have a long discography of albums that contains everything from gospel to progressive rock. I suggest you listen to everything they have done before you start pointing fingers.
