A very special song indeed and a truely underrated 10,000 maniacs classic. I often wonder how more successful they would have been with a different name. Always sounds like "red glass eye" to me!

10000 Manaics is one of the few groups that appeals to a wide age range of fans. Natalie and the band knew how to write songs that appealed to a wide fan base, young and old. Truly talented artists!

Thanks for your help. Here in Brazil we call NOAH by NOÉ. I did not get the meaning and that's why I have not understood! Sorry for my bad englhish!

Noah is from the Bible, Old Testament. He built the arc that "saved" his own family and animals when the flood came; he sent a dove out after the rain stopped to see if there were dry land anywhere. Eventually, the dove came back with an olive branch in its beak, suggesting that the rains had ended and the water had begun to recede and land was available again.

Beautiful song by a beautiful and gifted artist. I heard this song as a soundtrack to the Phantom of the Opera movie. The lyrics go quite well with the movie.
