This song is not about Troy Davis. 34 people testified against Troy Davis two of them recanted seven others changed their testimony. I used to think he was innocent until I looked into the case but now I honestly think he is guilty. The press lies and makes him look innocent.11 years ago

@autumnjrain My take on it has always been that the song is written from the perspective of a Black man on trial for a crime that he didn't commit and is now waiting on "the row" or death row. The KKK was somehow involved, either with the allegations or with his apprehension, and his testimony and witness accounts have all been falsified. His captors are glad to serve him his final meal; also known as the monster's ball, which is typically a death row inmate's last meal before he is executed...12 years ago
