PUT IN ME (PSALM 51)

By 100 Portraits and Waterdeep

"Enter the Worship Circle"

Oh, Mercy, fall on me like a warm blanket...on my cold, cold heart

Clean me with Your blood that turns me white on the inside

I'm on my knees again 'cause I'm breaking Your heart

Put in me...what I cannot buy with gold

Put in me, oh God...come restore my broken soul

Put in me...what I cannot give myself

Put in me...a clean heart

I know all my broken places like the back of my hand

That slapped your face again

Wash me in your love and hold me tight like a baby

Till I have no memory of ever breaking Your heart

And in the joy when you restore me I will stand and walk again

I will run into this world I will call them to come in

But I will not point my finger or grow that wicked skin

That cannot remember what I will not forget

How I broke you, or how I'm broken

Thank you! If you have a chance, try to read my blog. It discusses how far I have come and what I have done to get here. My life has been one giant struggle, But all that weight was lifted when I gave everything to Christ!

Hey brother, life is a series of trials and struggles, with many setbacks thrown in, and we are so weak to always respond with grace or holiness. How dependent I am on the mercy and grace and love of God. Who else do I have but you, Lord? I pray that you will find peace in Him and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God -- looking to Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith. I pray that God will keep you and carry you through your struggles. Through Christ, He has put in you a clean heart.

amirrorthickwithwords.blogspot.com This is a link to the blog I started after getting out of the hospital. I hope my testimony can reach out and help someone, even if it is just to let you know you are not alone.

God really opened my eyes when a loaded gun would not fire....even after cleaning chamber and reloading. (Yes the safety was off.) These past 4 months have changed my life and I have overcome obstacles I have faced for years. I hope someone else can take in the words tat are said and make positive changes in their own lives. Our God is a wonderful God.

This is the first song I heard when I first started going back to church when I finally was able to rid myself of a ten year drug addiction. Our worship team played it and I had a heavy heart that brought my eyes to tears. "I know all my broken places like the back of my hand, that slapped your face again." So true for me. I have since still struggled with anger and depression. Back in April I spent a week trying to kill myself in many ways.
