Dream Theater themselves have gone on record to say that they wouldn't be doing what they were doing if it weren't for Fates Warning.Metal Injection: "Fates warning who?"

They act like Dream Theater were the first band to play technical/prog metal... or even the first band to sound like Dream Theater...

"Scenes From A Memory" was waaaay more influential, IMO. Just because "Pull Me Under" was on this album doesn't mean it was the most influential.

Metropolis Part II: Scenes From A Memory is a much much better album than Images And Words.

Looks like if you didn't make MTV back in the day you don't make this list. What good internet? What good all information about all the underground bands of the 80s and 90s? I only like my dumbass album I heard when I was five.I not human, I monkey, have technology of future, use it to poop on underground."It wasn't popular to play your instrument well" if you lived in your basement with the TV to keep you warm.

I should point out something here: they all talk about it not being cool to have chops during the nineties. Apparently they all forgot about people like Billy Corgan, Dave Navarro, not to mention Larry Lalonde and Les Claypool from Primus. Those guys really COULD play and they did."Anti-musician age" they call it? HA!

True. Just pointing out that fact though.

But even so, they've still influenced Metal a lot. Without them, you wouldn't have Black, Death, Thrash or speed metal.

Lemmy doesn't consider Motorhead metal. That might be why but idk.

Where the fuck is Motorhead in this list? If it weren't for Motorhead, you wouldn't of had bands like Metallica and Bathory.
