What a brave song at a period when most did not address this issue. It is so powerful, actually brings tears to my eyes. I remember being a young social worker and being heart broken by the way some of my clients were abandoned by their families when they were most in need of their love and support. Hate, fear, lack of understanding and the like are terribly sad mind-sets. Thank goodness things are moving on.

I love this song - yes the vocals are kind of lacking on this version and the song cuts off abruptly mid-lyric - but it's still Sananda slash TTD so I appreciate it being on YouTube. My favorite part of the song is 3:04. Just love that guitar bit there.
