Lyrics:

- - - - - -

And I feel like I knew you before

And I guess that you can hear me through this song

And my love will never die

And my feelings will always shine

And I know that you just want me to belong to someone

And I guess that now I'll just be moving on to someone

But my love will never die

And my feelings will always shine

I'll never betray your trust

I'll never betray your faith

I'll never forsake your heart

I'll never forget your face

There's a feeling that I can't describe

There's a reason that I cannot hide

Because I've never seen a light that's so bright

As the light that shines behind your eyes

I can see

This life

And what you mean to me

And when I dreamed

I dreamed of you

Then I wake

Tell me what could I do?

I had to let you go

To the setting sun

I had to let you go

And find a way back home

Just skipped through about 5 songs and heard next to zero rock guitars. I'm open minded and I understand musical progression in a band and the songs are quite good but if you're going to change that much then best start another band as it's pretty unrecognisable as the Anathema I know.

I am one of the truest metal heads out there in my city. Still, the maturity and change Anathema has gone through since its beginings is astonishing. This particular song always touches me deep within and makes me shed at least a manly tear every time I listen to it closely.

My ugly nephew managed to make the hottest stripper there is in my town fall in love with him because he ran the Cupid Love System (search in Google). It’s bad but I wish I became pleased for him but I dream an incredible individual would fall in love with me. I’m totally green with envy. Does that mean I’m a lousy person?

it is indeed truly a disgrace that they are not as famous as they deserve

The names sounds familiar but I can't remember any song, so I probably just heard about them, but never listened to any of their songs. Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I'll give 'em a chance. Do you think the situation will stay like this? That young people won't appreciate the art and skill but only image? I visited Philly few months ago and the young people I had chance to speak to were actually very mature. I wouldn't guess they're just after image.

Ahhhh yeah that makes more sense. Back then, fans liked great shows and players, but kids nowadays are more about the image. Well I can say that there's one band that channels that kind of appreciation, an English band called Porcupine Tree. They're a bit of a throwback, if you haven't heard of them. I've seen them live more than once and they played perfectly. That's one new-ish band I'd recommend.

You're probably right. I'm just used to old legends that I usually listen to. I like Billy Joel, Sting and The Police, The Beatles... But I guess the times are changing. I mean, they had the image and the media are on their side, but they still try/tried to be the best and they rocked. Dream Theater's too wild for me. But I'd like to see some new rock band with great songwriting and perfect singer and musicians.

Haha well that's the Youtube universe :-p But for these guys, the emotions are more the focus than the playing. Now for bands like Dream Theater, it's one of the things the fans like to focus on. But I can safely say from what I've seen that the quality of your live show isn't directly proportional to that of your sales - at least, in the U.S., where the focus is more on image and media hype. If Anathema had that behind them, they'd sell more.

I'm so glad you actually put a real response. Everytime I put some critical comment in some music video, people start to insult me. Well, anyway. Thank you for your reaction. But I think if they were perfect live, they could be more famous. I believe you though, that you have to be there. It's always different. When you feel the energy, you don't even hear the bad notes. Well they are great anyway. Good songwriting these days is so rare imo.
