I always love a good Hendrix cover done by other professional and talented bands.We all know and have heard Stevie Ray do them, and Chrissie Hynde and her Pretenders have always had a warm spot for the obscure Hendrix cover and are partial to such.Her Pretenders, smokin' cover of Room Full of Mirrors is a real feature and just ricochets off the walls and blows the roof off the room, at that.Spirit's, Randy California does a great Hey Joe, as does Alvin Lee and his Ten Years After outfit.It's just a great Rock & Roll chord progression, and it gives you a lot of room for improv' and inspiration.From the Leaves to the Byrds, to anyone I've ever heard, I've not heard a version that I didn't like something about.And, yes, I just adore Jimi's take on it.
