Pity the albums mix & master was totally botched (and apparently it wasn't possible to rescue since the new "remix" didn't sound much better than the original). And whoever made this video, adding a chorus/delay and CONSTANT crowd noise during the entire performance is a bit.... botched.. Still, this is a f'n heavy kick butt song and Gillan sure put his own stamp on it along with the riff-master from darkness, Tony Iommi. Call it Black Purple, Deep Black, Deep Sabbath or whatever...

I saw this concert with Quiet Riot opening for them. This was a great show and a great album. Didn't really excite me the first time I heard it but after a couple of times I put this album up as one of my favorites. Ian Gillan with Deep Purple, Jesus Christ Superstar original album, or Black Sabbath is a great singer with incredible range. Ozzy, Dio, or Gillan all three of them did excellent job with Sabbath. Sabotage was my personal fav album from Sabbath but I got every album ever made by them and love em all.

Black Sabbath with Ian Gillan is still so underrated that I just don't get it. This was one of the best formations of the band and possibly the best. What an album - too bad there wasn't more. This video proves their metal mettle.

Live? What was live, appart their presence and the audience? That "performance" was 100% playback of the album's track. No doubt. (Zero The Hero is one of my favorite song ever though, and that's why I came here. Don't bash me!)

one small AWESOME oft-overlooked version of OUR heroes.....BLACK SABBATH. There ain't NO metal band out there worth its salt...didn't take SUMTHIN' from the Sabs....right or wrong? whole BORN AGAIN album is a MASTERPIECE.

I loved the album "Born Again", but hated the production. In any case I saw this incarnation in Feb. '84, and loved every minute of it. Hearing Ian doing "Black Sabbath" was bone chilling and totally frightening.
