The first time I heard yoko kanno'z composition I cheerful smile slowly spread across my face and i smiled like a overjoyed child. Now I can never forget that feeling and I've loved all of her songs ever since. GO YOKO~! ^-^ <3

Not even Miyazaki. Joe Hisaishi has his own very unique style. Yoko Kanno does implement some similar sounds and strategies to Nobou (I wouldn't know much of anything of the new FF composers) but I think that she definitely has her own sound to her as well. Nobou, Yoko Kanno, Joe Hisaishi, Tenmon, John WIlliams, and Harry Gregson-Williams all share that quality of insane versatility without sticking to a theme or a sound, but you still know it's theirs.

Yoko Kanno has always struck me with Awe, with her insane variety, and ability to create masterpieces in ANY genre, but this....it's so invigorating.
