Yakamoto Kotzuga is 21 and comes from Venice.
He's opened for Forest Swords, and this year released his debut album Usually Nowhere, a set of smoky, often delicate electronica, on La Tempesta Dischi. His music is also the inspiration for this new short film by Italian communication search centre Fabrica (where Kotzuga is a resident), directed by Eduardo Meza Gill.
'Hermit', we're told, is "a visual tale of a complicated love affair that, like a blindfold on people’s eyes, displays reality not for what is it but deformed". It doubles as a video for the track - also called 'Hermit', from Usually Nowhere - and a production in its own right. For more on Fabrica, head here:
