This song has grown on me. My Weapon is quite bad LOL. He seemed to get the hang of things in Shriekback, but sometimes songwriters don't have everything all figured out on the first album, llike Moulding on White Music. Crosswires, Do What You Do, and Heatwave have grown on me, but Dance Band is pretty weak and I'll Set Myself on Fire, aside from the cool instrumental break, and Instant Tunes are just AWFUL. But on this album he got the hang of things more.

Fed up of the slag-Barry comments. He was a vital cog in the chaotic machine that was "early" XTC, and without the momentum of the first two albums we wouldn't have all the rest...

I liked the Andrews songs best of all on this album. I agree, the bass is phenomenal here.

Saw it today dear friend !! I wasn't slagging Barry off as such its just his voice has never sat that well with me !! Although he wrote this i've always felt that Andy or Colin would have done more justice to the song.
