XTC - 'It's Nearly Africa' - Live Soundcheck 1982-03-08 скачать видео бесплатно
Here's an odd one for you. Recently, quite a bit of uncirculated live material has been unearthed and is making the rounds. A mix of stuff from all points in their career. This stands out, however, as this is the only known source of 'It's Nearly Africa' being performed live in any capacity. This soundcheck occurred earlier in the day of 1982-03-08 in Amsterdam at the Paradiso.
It's an incomplete performance by about fifteen seconds, and Andy only sings the first verse. On the other hand, it's very good and very fun. Had XTC stayed together as a touring band for a little while longer, I think this could've made the setlist.
This is a little glimpse of a side of XTC rarely heard (doubly so being live AND the soundcheck) and of a song never heard live previous to this.
