Just playing in a low tuning doesn't make one heavy. But playing slow, heavy riffs in a low tunings does. Xibalba are just an honest, straight up hardcore band doing something new with the genre. They don't try and preach some half-assed, pseudo-intellectual message or sound like oldfag bands to impress nostalgia kiddies. And I don't see how they're holier than thou, or how Emmure is for that matter. If you want to see holier than thou go listen to Defeater preach at you.

I like Groove, I like nu metal. I just dont like bullshit hardcore. Hardcore can be good, but playing in drop a doest make you heavy dancing around like some holy than thou bullshit emmure but hey to each his own, im just voicing an opinion im not an elitist, because elitists have no place in hardcore.

lol for everyone who doesnt know. that intro is a Crowbar song. its the first track off of there self-titled album. Xibalba has their own sound they mix the elements pretty good.
