god did I miss the boat on these guys....dammitdammitdammit! I didn't hear argus til '81....! I know, its terrible. just now discovered live dates 2...sheesh. what a band these guys were, classic power drenched extended solos from a bygone era...wow! all I can say is better late than never, right?

No doubt about it. On the VERY rare occasion this song comes on where I am, the world stops turning, everything around me stops, and there I am right back in, (what was it? 79? 81?...), my old stomping grounds, in New England, figuring out where all the back roads went crankin' the Ash. Funny thing is, as much as I love listening to them then, I had no idea how good they really were until I rediscovered them several years ago.Music like this isn't being made for the masses anymore.

Now I can understand where Kula Shaker got their sound and influences from? Anyone remember Crispin Mills and Co.?

I would love to hear Laurie and Ted sing harmony! They picked together on stage last summer at the "Wishboe Ash Garden Party" in July. Check out the home video of it here on youtube! Everybody was there except Andy from the Mark one an two lineup!

One of their best tracks and Laurie Wisefield - what a great player.

This is why twin lead guitars started. This is so early, the sound is hard rock!! So Awesome!

Absolutely incredible band and individual musicians.. One of my absolue favorites of all time.. One of the very, very few bands that never sold out to poppy crap! RJ

Says so much about Laurie's playing that he even sounded great next to Andy Powell! Steve Upton's jump suit is a shocker though!

Great to discover this. The beat is crisp, the band tight and Laurie really shines on this one. Seen them about ten times in the last five years and they are still great. Only Andy plays with the ash setup though Martin has his own band who I haven't seen. Others had greater commercial success. Wishbone was always the band you would play over and over and over again.

This song is a scotcher. Am looking for the studio version where the bass notes were out of this world.

So cool to find this video. Done near the time it was released on New England, it is very true to the album original. I always have that CD handy.

@ooxox4u Love Argus and Dates1, but the Powell/Turner/Wisefield era is my favorite. No question.

Drummer is so tight and tasty, all of these guys were underrated, underknown.
